The iNew V8 is powered by MediaTek MT6591 Hexa Core Processor clocked at 1.5 GHz which is step back from the usual MT6592 OCta Core processor we come to know.
In terms of hardware, the mt6591 is very similar to the octa core version except for a slightly town down performance. Antutu Benchmark still reveals a decent score of 22386 points. Still has the same Mali 450 MP4 Graphics processor and is still able to run most 3D intensive games with little noticeable lag.
The phone runs Android 4.4 KitKat right out of the box with multilingual support and FOTA for future updates. Furthermore, the phone supports ART MODE which basically allows faster processing of codes for better response rates and smoother performance.
In terms of Display, the V8 features a 5.5 inch, 720p HD Display, OGS Screen and layered with Corning Gorilla Glass 2nd Generation for better protection. The phone also supports Air Gesture and Creative Back Touch Technology that allows scrolling, taking pictures and other functions, an innovation borrowed with the Oppo N1.
Camera, you can see the unique 13 megapixel rotating camera which was first introduced by Oppo N1. Although listed to have 18 megapixels, more or less interpolated software allows it to achieve ultra high pixels.
Connectivity, although advertised to support 4G or LTE, this model only supports 3G via WCDMA frequencies, sports Dual Sim Support with Dual Standby and Dual Active modes, the phone also features NFC Support which is more than welcome. Other connectivity options are also available such as Bluetooth 4.0, USB to OTG support for multiple peripheral devices and Wifi b/g/n.
Design and Battery, the iNew V8 more or less is a clone of the Oppo N1, features the same rotational camera which everyone would come to associate with the N1. Underneath is a 2400mAh removable Li-on battery that will give around a day of use but heavy users may need to keep their chargers in handy.
