Chuwi Hi8, An ultra budget tablet

The Chuwi Hi8 is a sub$120 tablet with a smallish form factor similar to the iPad Mini but at its core, houses powerful hardware. Most notably, the tablet comes with a faster than standard 64 bit Intel BayTrail processor with a boosted speed of 2.16GHz. Also accompanied by 2GB DDR3 RAM and 32GB eMMC storage.
The tablet is also equipped with a WUXGA Magic Panel with a FHD or 1200p High Definition Display with about 280+ ppi. With an Intel Chipset underneath, the device supports Dual Boot with an easy and hassle free One Click Switching.
Although it lacks built-in 3G or 4G LTE Support. The USB OTG host supports external devices including external 3G dongle. Other connectivity options are also available such as Bluetooth 4.0 and WiFi 802.11 b/g/n.
iPad mini inspired design… Its not uncommon to see Apple inspired China made tablets, in fact, that is always the case. The Chuwi Hi8 shares this form factor but at a slightly smaller dimension. Also powering the device is a 4000mAh battery enough to last up to 4 to 5 hours of normal use.
Overall, a very solid media tablet that also offers great versatility via the Dual OS (Chuwi Vi8 Ultimate) support. The powerful hardware is a welcome site especially the ultra low pricing. The small form factor is great for portability and perfect for those who want a tablet and a laptop in one.
